Overview
A low-power, 8-bit CMOS microcontroller built on the AVR-enhanced RISC architecture is called the ATtiny25/45/85. The ATTINY85V-10SU achieves throughputs close to 1 MIPS per MHz by carrying out strong instructions in a single clock cycle, enabling the system designer to balance power consumption and processing performance. 32 general-purpose working registers and a robust instruction set are combined in the AVR core. Due to the direct connection of all 32 registers to the Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU), two separate registers can be accessed in a single instruction that is executed in a single clock cycle. In comparison to traditional CISC microcontrollers, the resulting design is more code efficient and achieves throughputs that are up to ten times quicker.
The following capabilities are provided by the ATtiny25/45/85 microcontroller which belongs to Embedded IC: A 4-channel, 10-bit ADC, programmable Watchdog Timer with internal Oscillator, one 8-bit Timer/Counter with compare modes, one 8-bit high-speed Timer/Counter, 128/256/512 bytes of EEPROM, 128/256/256 bytes of SRAM, 6 general purpose I/O lines, 32 general purpose working registers, Universal Serial Interface, Internal, and External Interrupts, and three software selectable power saving modes are all included. The CPU is put into idle mode, while the SRAM, Timer/Counter, ADC, Analog Comparator, and Interrupt system are still operational. All chip operations are disabled in power-down mode until the next interrupt or hardware reset, which stores the register values. To reduce switching noise during ADC conversions, the CPU and all other I/O modules are stopped in the ADC Noise Reduction mode.
