Cookie Policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (such as browser storage) used on datasheethub.com. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, keep small pieces of information in your browser in a comparable way. Some are essential for a website to work; others help measure use or show advertising.
2. Cookies and storage we use
Essential
- BASEHIMSESS, set by DataSheet Hub: keeps forms secure (security tokens for comments and error reports) and remembers short-term settings. It lasts for your browsing session and is secure and inaccessible to scripts. The website's forms cannot work without it, so it does not require consent.
Analytics
- Our own analytics (DataSheet Hub): counts page views without cookies. Where permitted, and where you have consented if consent is required, it keeps a random visitor identifier in your browser's local storage (items beginning with
bh_) to count returning visitors and sessions. Withdrawing consent removes these items. - Google Analytics (Google): cookies such as
_gaand_ga_<ID>distinguish visitors and sessions. Google sets them for up to 2 years.
Advertising
- Google AdSense (Google and its partners): cookies such as
__gads,__gpiandIDEare used to serve ads, limit how often you see them, prevent fraud and measure performance, and, with consent where required, to personalise ads. Durations are set by Google, typically up to 13 months. See Google's list of advertising cookies.
Consent
- Google consent message (Google): for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, cookies such as
FCCDCFandFCNECstore your consent choices so we do not ask on every page. Set by Google, typically for up to 13 months.
Google Fonts, which provides our web fonts, does not set cookies, but it does receive your IP address when fonts load.
3. Consent
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see a consent message before non-essential cookies are used, and can accept, reject or customise them. Elsewhere, non-essential cookies may be used as described here, and you can control them with the options below.
4. How to control cookies
- Change your choices through the consent message, if it is shown in your region.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop forms from working.
- Manage Google ad personalisation at Google Ad Settings, and opt out of Google Analytics with the opt-out add-on.
5. Changes
We will update this policy if the cookies we use change. Questions: contact@datasheethub.com.
