Overview
There are many speed ratings available for the Spartan®-6 LX and LXT FPGAs, with grade -3 having the best performance. The DC and AC electrical properties of the Automotive XA XC6SLX16-2CSG225C FPGA and Defense-grade Spartan-6Q FPGAs devices are identical to those of commercially available products, with the exception of what has been noted. The timing characteristics of the commercial (XC) -2 speed grade industrial device and the commercial (XC) -2 speed grade device are the same. Only the enlarged (Q) temperature range is relevant for the speed grades -2Q and -3Q. The Automotive and Defense-grade devices share the same timing characteristics as the -2 and -3 speed classes. There are three different temperature ranges for the Spartan-6 FPGA‘s DC and AC characteristics: commercial (C), industrial (I), and extended (Q). Only a few speed grades and/or devices may be available in industrial or expanded temperature ranges for automotive and defense-grade electronics. When a device’s name is given, all conceivable component number variations are included (for example, LX75 could refer to XC6SLX75, XA6SLX75, or XQ6SLX75). Devices classified as Spartan-6 FPGA -3N speed grade lack MCB functionality.
